Kemet Ackee is a native of San Diego, California. Growing up, he had a passion for music, fashion, and sports. He played an African drum called the “Djembe” and percussion. Kemet was also a good student and came from a two-parent household with three older brothers.
After one year of community college, Kemet joined the Army, where he held various positions as a food service NCO. Kemet attended airborne school and air assault school. He also served as a personal driver for the Deputy Commanding General and worked with congressional delegates on a Gulf Stream Aircraft. Kemet deployed to Afghanistan and Syria before being honorably discharged from the army.
After leaving the military, Kemet started "All My Friends Are Rappers," a brand that promotes creativity, art, music, and positivity throughout the community. He also began exploring new passions, including craft beer and in 2021, was hired by Second Chance Beer Company, where he has curated his love for beer. In 2022 & 2023 he collaborated his brand “All My Friends Are Rappers” with Second Chance and Chula Vista Brewery to produce “All I Want” A hoppy Kolsch Style Beer in recognition of Black History Month and continues to make an impact in the craft beer industry.
Kemet's journey from the military to entrepreneurship and the craft beer industry reflects his determination and willingness to explore new paths in life. He continues to inspire and make a positive impact on his community through his brand and passion for creativity and positivity.
